Happy Independence Day to the Wow Kidz Family!!!
Children of today’s generation haven’t been members of the struggles faced during the independence fight. Some of them have aren’t even blessed enough to have great grandparents to narrate the stories of their struggles and accomplishments of the time. So how do we encourage nationalism into our kids? Well, the only way to do that is by presenting them with knowledge about the same in a way that they’re responsive to.
Do you think that your kids are familiar with the significance of this day or is aware of the objective behind feasting it every year? We should enlighten them about the tributes made by the freedom soldier and their missions along with their aims and efforts to make India a democratic country.
Many parents in today’s date don’t even bother to celebrate or even discuss Independence Day with their kids at home. All the information that is received by them is from their schools. For most parents, Independence Day celebration and festivities don’t hold a very vital part of their ongoing lives. Parents hold a very important role in molding their children and it’s their role to cultivate a feeling of patriotism among their little one.

Monsoon Tips from Wow Kidz!!!
Hello friends, it’s the time of the year that we all love so much, at least I do. I mean who doesn’t love the splash of freshness and cool breeze after months of scorching heat. All summer people just keep waiting for it to start raining, kids more than anyone. Well, keeping their exhilaration under control, to relive all those reminiscing good old memories from the season, seems like an added trouble for the parents.
Apart from all the fun and excitement that comes with the season, what we miss out on is the bunch of infections and illnesses that it invites. We can’t keep our kids from splashing around in the water during monsoon, but what we can do is try and take measures in order to keep them safe. So here we have some tips from the Wow Kidz team to keep your child and you healthy and disease-free this monsoon.
- First things first, make sure that your house is clean and dry, as the humidity from the weather can get to your house too. A lot of mosquitoes are attracted indoors, spreading waterborne viruses.
- Don’t forget to apply mosquito repellant before leaving the house.
- Prefer home-cooked meals over restaurants and street food.
- Try and drink only boiled water in order to avoid infections.
- Have more fresh food items that are rich in Vitamins. Also, avoid having salads and raw fruits or vegetables unless they are washed properly.
- Always keep an extra pair of dry clothes for kids to avoid long hours in damp clothes, which calls for infections.
- Keep a habit of keeping your body clean and adding a few drops of antiseptic liquid in the bath.
- Kids love splashing water, but it is very necessary to keep them away from puddles and stagnant waters as they can lead to numerous diseases.
- Avoid going in the first rain as it contains acid in it.

Ankush drags Bajrangi to the park he visits every day. An old man, Dharam Uncle, gives Ankush chocolate. Bajrangi is curious and Ankush reveals that he meets Dharam Uncle every day while jogging at the park. Ankush reminds Uncle of his grandson and that’s why gives him chocolate. Uncle promises to get him chocolate tomorrow too. Next day Uncle doesn’t turn up. Ankush is worried as Uncle always keeps his promises. To quell Ankush’s worry, Bajrangi suggests they go check him at his house. They go to Uncle’s house which is a huge bungalow full of artifacts of the British Era.

Merry Christmas To The Wow Kidz Family!!!
Hello friends, are you as excited for Christmas as I am? Because I most certainly am. So let’s talk about the best part of Christmas. It definitely has to be the part where we exchange gifts. I mean who doesn’t like gifts, seriously? Did you'll know that some people exchange their gifts a little too early on the occasion of Christmas. People around the world have their own way of celebrating this beautiful festival with all of their heart.
Like any other festival, every country has its own variants for Christmas customs and traditions too. To give an instance, some people celebrate Christmas only on Christmas Eve while some people have a 12-day feast, celebrating their saints. Most common ways of celebrating Christmas is by decorating and lighting the Christmas tree, giving and receiving presents, and a lot more. In some places in India, people hang huge star-shaped paper lanterns between houses.
People from some countries also decorate the churches in their vicinity with flowers and candles and go to the Midnight Mass Church Service. In most of the Catholic countries, this is the most important church service in the Christmas season. At the same time, some countries celebrate Christmas for as long as from 40 days before Christmas Eve and end around in the first week of February.
